The aim of our group is to model how neural networks work synchronously in a large spatiotemporal pattern.
Long-term research area: Development of multimodal strategy to induce directed neuroblast migration and integration into functional circuits of peri-infarct zone.
Short-term research areas:
- Analysis of neural networks with electrophysiological recordings.
- Neural network analysis using complex behavioral tasks on awake animals.
- Implementation of “Brain machine interface” module.
Activation of specific ciruits
We analyze neural network firing alterations in behaving animals and spike detection analysis using customized programs.
Whole brain activity mapping
We are using novel techniques to analyze whole brain activity from EEG and MRI data
Stroke research
We are using preclinical models of stroke to evaluate the effect of deep brain stimulation om behavioural changes in poststroke period.
- Preclinical models of ischemic stroke.
- Large scale data analysis using modern algorithms and hardware.
- Stimulation, characterisation and modelling of neural circuits responsible for certain behaviorual outputs.
- EEG data generation and analysis. Creation of open source libraries for the analysis of neural activity.
- Machine learning algorithms for the deep brain stimulation systems.
- Development of rehabilitation techniques.
